La Bataille de Napoleon

In 1975 Larry Groves and what was then known as Martial Enterprises won the Charles Roberts award, Best Amateur Game, for their release of La Bataille de la Moscowa. In 1977, Marshal Enterprises released La Bataille D' Auerstoedt refining the rules. In 1984 Clash of Arms Games acquired the series; further polishing and refining the rules. In 1990, Clash of Arms released the third edition of this series. Since then, the La Bataille series of games has come to represent some of the finest in tactical Napoleonic wargaming with extensive Orders of Battles and period-style maps and rules under constant improvement. Most notable are the maps for La Bataille de Lutzen (pictured below) and La Bataille de Orthez (pictured at right). Both maps were painstakingly rendered by Blackcat Studio.
